Howard graduated from Temple University with a degree in History in 1975. After spending several years as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration, Howard attended law school at Temple University while working as a litigation law clerk for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, an international firm with its principal office in Philadelphia. Since his graduation from law school in 1984, Howard’s practice has been almost exclusively in the area of insurance defense.
Howard was employed with Prudential Property & Casualty Insurance Company for 10 years, rising to the level of Senior Trial Attorney. In that capacity, Howard represented Prudential and its insureds in hundreds of personal injury and property damage cases throughout eastern Pennsylvania. He has also authored numerous opinions regarding insurance coverage for both national and international insurance companies and their affiliates.
Since coming to the firm, Howard has litigated intricate marine construction disputes as well as Jones Act and other personal injury claims. He has expertise in all types of construction, products liability, E & O, automobile, premises liability and coverage litigation, successfully taking matters to trial in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania, including cases of original jurisdiction in the appellate courts. Howard has earned the respect of his peers and has often been selected to serve as a neutral arbitrator/mediator to resolve cases outside of the court system.
Howard was born and raised in Montgomery County. He has donated significant time and effort in the support of youth sports such as baseball and soccer. He is an avid computer hobbyist, building and maintaining home computer systems. He and his wife enjoy traveling, both in the U.S. and abroad.
