David Keller Trevaskis is an attorney and former third grade teacher with a Master’s Degree in Education. He concentrates his private practice in estate planning and small business development. David also serves as the Pro Bono Coordinator for Legal Services for the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), responsible for assisting local bar associations, legal services programs and other groups who offer pro bono legal services across the Commonwealth. David coordinates the PBA’s pro bono placement efforts, using the PALawHelp.org and PAprobono.net technologies to expand the resources for the neediest among us. He runs the PBA’s Pro Bono Office and the wide range of that work is viewable on the PBA's website.
David is a frequent presenter across Pennsylvania on civil legal aid and pro bono issues, liability prevention for small businesses and community programs and he is recognized as a national expert in public education about the law. David regularly teaches graduate classes at Arcadia University and Gratz College in such subjects as School Law, Crisis, Mediation, Civics, Bullying Prevention and Sports Law as well as undergraduate classes in Constitutional Law for Pennsylvania State University, Abington College. He is the recipient of the 1996 Philadelphia Bar Association's Leon J. Obermayer Education Award, a 2000 President's Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association for the project PEACE anti-violence program he developed, the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division’s 2002 F. Sean Peretta Service Award and a 2004 Chester County Bar Association President’s Award. In 2006, David was the second recipient of the 2006 Compass Award, which was first given to United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. During that same year, he received the President's Citation from the Indiana Bar Association and the LEAP-Kids Lifetime Achievement and Mentor Award. In 2007, David received the President's Award from the Delaware County Bar.
David is married with two children and one grandson.
